Why Budget Clan uses it

Cloudflare serves everything with a budgetclan.app or budgetclan.com address: this website, the web app, the help documentation, and the desktop and Android downloads. It also runs the small reverse proxy that puts Budget Clan's backend behind api.budgetclan.app.

What data reaches them

• Standard request metadata: your IP address, browser user-agent, and the time and path of each request. This is the unavoidable minimum needed to deliver a web page.
• Backend traffic in transit. Because api.budgetclan.app is a Cloudflare Worker that forwards to Sydney, everything you send to Budget Clan's backend passes through Cloudflare on the way, including a document you submit to the AI service. The Worker streams it straight through; it stores nothing.
• Not your records. Your expenses, budgets, accounts and receipts travel from your device directly to Google's APIs and never go through Cloudflare at all.

There are no advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on any Budget Clan site.

Where that data lives

Cloudflare operates a global edge network: pages and downloads are served from whichever Cloudflare location is nearest you, anywhere in the world, so static content is cached internationally. Backend requests are forwarded from that edge location to Budget Clan's servers in Sydney, Australia. Cloudflare's own logs and request metadata are handled under its privacy policy, and Cloudflare is a United States company subject to US law.
