Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, United States. Google Cloud services for customers in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are provided by Google Cloud EMEA Limited / Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland.

Why Budget Clan uses it

It hosts Budget Clan's small optional backend, the service that tells the app which tier you are on, meters AI credits, proxies the AI service, and collects coarse usage counters. Your financial data never passes through it, except for a document you deliberately submit to the AI service (see Gemini API), which is processed in memory and discarded.

What data reaches them

Keyed only to an opaque Google account identifier, never your name, email address, or any financial record:

• Your subscription tier and AI credit balance;
• A technical audit log of AI requests: file type, byte size, page count, token counts and credits used. The document itself, its extracted contents, and any values from it are never stored;
• Coarse product usage counters (which features are used) and error codes;
• Budget Clan's own API keys and secrets: our credentials, not your data.

Where that data lives

• Cloud Run (the API itself): australia-southeast1, Sydney, Australia.
• Firestore (tier record and AI audit log): australia-southeast1, Sydney, Australia.
• BigQuery (coarse usage counters and error codes): the US multi-region, United States.
• Secret Manager (Budget Clan's own credentials): Google-managed multi-region replication.

In short: everything tied to your account sits in Sydney; only the anonymous feature-usage counters are stored in the United States.
